Zach Grapentine, EI, will serve as a project engineer with a focus on traffic engineering and municipal engineering. He will be based in the Spearfish, South Dakota, office. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the South Dakota State School of Mines and Technology, he worked in Colorado for five years focusing on traffic engineering and municipal infrastructure.

What impact do you hope to make at Interstate Engineering?
I hope to become an expert on the traffic side of things but be able to do everything else.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I worked on a complete redesign of the infrastructure (roadways, sidewalks, drainage, traffic signals, etc.) of the City of Sheridan, Colorado.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
Life is short, live it to the fullest.
Tell us a bit about your family.
I grew up in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and I am set to be married June 7, 2019.
When you aren’t working, where can you be found?
I am really into biking, fly fishing, and camping and am currently training for my first half Ironman.
