Interstate Engineering Expands Planning Division

Interstate Engineering is pleased to announce the expansion of the planning division with the addition of John Van Dyke.

With a strong background in urban and community planning, Van Dyke joined the Mandan Branch, relocating from Idaho. He holds a BBA in Business Economics and a Master of Community and Regional Planning. In addition to his formal education, he has professional experience working for the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, the Idaho Department of Labor, and JSV Development.

Van Dyke’s experience with economic development, land policy, public outreach, strategic planning, and transportation planning adds another dimension to the planning division.

“Bringing on someone with the experience John has means we are better able to serve our municipal and regional clients’ planning needs,” said Eric Urness, Central Region Vice President for Interstate Engineering. “We often hear our clients mention the needs for planning and by offering this service we are able to provide a greater service locally.”

Van Dyke, is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying camping, hiking, backpacking, and snowshoeing.
