Rob Jorgenson has been brought on as a Survey Party Chief. With over a decade of experience working in the survey field, he brings a strong understanding of construction surveying, pipeline surveying, and topographic surveying to the team. Rob holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Southeast Technical Institute. He is also a veteran, having served in the US Army’s 82nd Airborn Division.

What impact do you hope to make at Interstate Engineering?
I believe that with my surveying and personal experience, I can bring a unique quality to the company.
Why did you choose the field you have chosen?
My brother is a surveyor as well and he lead me into the surveying field. Once I began surveying, I knew this is what I wanted to make my career. I love the outdoors, contact with people from all over, and learning new techniques.

Tell us a bit about your family.
I have an older brother who also is a Surveyor and one older sister who lives in Rapid City. I am very close to my mother as well as my 12 year old collie lab named Roxxy.
When you aren’t working, where can you be found?
I like to spend time in the Black hills, traveling to the cities for sporting events, bowling, pool, and golf!
What inspires you?
Helping my fellow veterans.

Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Mariners, LA Lakers, and Tiger Woods.
