Management Changes in Sidney Office

Jordan Mayer, PE, has been promoted to Office Manager of Interstate Engineering in Sidney, Montana.

Mayer is a Professional Engineer registered in Montana. He began working for Interstate Engineering in 2006 as a summer intern. When he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering with a Civil Option from Montana Tech, Mayer joined the team full time. His varied experience as field technician, survey party chief, CAD drafter and engineer allows him to approach projects with a broad-spectrum understanding of project solutions.

“Seeing Jordan’s drive and motivation, transitioning him into a management role was a natural next step,” said Josh Johnson, Senior Project Manager and former Office Manager. “Working with a philosophy that every ten years management shifts to the next generation, Jordan brings fresh ideas and style to the company, which will ultimately benefit our clients and employees.”

Johnson, who served as Sidney Office Manager for the past ten years, will continue to be an integral part of the company, refocusing on client and project management. He will also work as a mentor to Mayer throughout the management transition.

“We have a strong team in Sidney,” said Lonni Fleck, Vice-President of Interstate Engineering. “Josh led the office through the oilfield boom and the challenges that came with that time. His dedication has been key in keeping Interstate Engineering moving forward, client-focused and project driven.”

Mayer officially began his role as Office Manager on December 9, 2016.
