  Interstate Engineering is pleased to announce the addition of three staff members. Steve Parrish, Collin Rutten, and Kristi Janzen have joined the team in Jamestown, North Dakota. Steve Parrish joined Interstate Engineering as a Senior Survey Engineer. He is a Land Surveyor registered in nine states. Parish has been a registered surveyor since 1973, working throughout the Southwest and Western United States. Mamer Named NDACE County Engineer of the Year

Steve Mamer, office manager of Interstate Engineering’s Beulah branch, received the North Dakota Association of County Engineer’s County Engineer of the Year Award. This award is presented annually to one outstanding road superintendent or engineer. Mamer received the award during the NDACE 2015 annual convention banquet. As an active member of the group since 1998, he was elected to the executive board in 2010 and was elected president in 2013. Interstate Engineering Board Names Chief Financial Officer

The Interstate Engineering Board of Directors announced the promotion of Kristin Syverson to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. This is a newly established position within the organization. Syverson joined Interstate Engineering in 2011 as Interstate Engineering’s Marketing Coordinator. In 2013, Ms. Syverson was promoted to Office Manager and Accounting Manager for the Jamestown and Corporate offices. Sidney Office Expands

Interstate Engineering is pleased to welcome Jeremy Hayes to the team. Hayes is a CAD Technician based out of the Sidney, Montana Office. Hayes has 12 years of previous experience in the CAD field and is a North Carolina Public Notary.   Jeremy and his wife Ellen have a daughter, Kourney and a son, Joshua.        

Urness Named Office Manager

After official board action at the October board meeting, Eric Urness, PE,  was offered and has accepted the position of Office Manager. Urness began working in the Mandan office in November. Urness, a senior project engineer previously based in the Jamestown office, has been with Interstate Engineering since 2002. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering from the University of North Dakota and is a Professional Engineer registered in North and South Dakota.

Strum Promoted to Billings Office Manager

The Interstate Engineering Board of Directors recently made management changes throughout the western area of the organization. The Board of Directors recently promoted Chuck Strum, PE to Office Manager in the firm’s office in Billings, MT. Jirges Joins Interstate Engineering

Tyler Jirges joined Interstate Engineering on May 5th as a Survey Field Assistant. Currently a student at Montana State University in Bozeman, focusing on Civil Engineering, Jirges will be spending his summer working from the Belfield office, furthering his knowledge of civil engineering, field work and surveying.   Jirges bring energy and an understanding of teamwork to the group as well as experience in environmental and oil fields.

Interstate Engineering Receives Award

On Tuesday, February 18, Interstate Engineering and the City of Pierre received the Outstanding Engineering Achievement of the Year award for 2013.
