The Planning Team

Brent Moore, AICP

Planning Director

As a certified planner, Brent works with communities to develop current and long-range community development plans, from downtown infrastructure to land use and beyond. Brent is a Certified Planner with more than 12 years of experience helping communities plan for growth and expansion in a way that best benefits the community as a whole. He holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning with a specialization in Growth Management and Comprehensive Planning from Florida State University as well as a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College. Brent is the Western Regional Vice President for Interstate Engineering.

John Van Dyke

Urban Planner

With a strong background in urban and community planning, John holds a BBA in Business Economics and a Master of Community and Regional Planning. In addition to his formal education, he has professional experience working for the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, the Idaho Department of Labor, and JSV Development. John’s experience with economic development, land policy, public outreach, strategic planning, and transportation planning adds another dimension to the planning division.
