Airport Pavement Rehab
Interstate Engineering was retained by the City of Wolf Point, Montana to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of the LM Clayton Airport. The core project consisted of placement of under drain pipe beneath the runway to remove ground water from the area, reconstruction of the runway, and Taxiway A-1 connector.
Construction of the project consisted of milling and stockpiling the existing asphalt, placing transverse pipes beneath the runway at 100 foot spacing, placing a collector drain pipe along the south edge of the runway which diverted water to the newly constructed drainage ditch, placing blended base gravel, and repaving the runway. Also included in the project were the addition of two lighted wind cones and the extension of the light bases and guidance signs.
